Beverly Physicians Group & Dr. David Ghozland are proud to announce that we have switched from the Yag laser for a more precise instrument called the Ellman Surgitron. We did this because of the gorgeous results, increased precision, and decreased tissue damage when compared to a knife, laser, or regular cautery unit. The magnitude of safety is much better. There are no stray laser beams that may burn you. The Ellman Surgitron measures tissue destruction at the micron level unlike the Yag laser that measures it in millimeters. Because it is such a safe and precise instrument we are able to perform labiaplasties and other vaginal treatments in the office, under local anesthesia, quite successfully.
One of those disadvantages of the laser is increased tissue destruction in comparison to the EllmanSurgitron. The Ellman Surgitron has been shown to have increased safety, increased precision, minimal tissue destruction, rapid recovery, and an in-office procedure. The Ellman Surgitron provides optimum aesthetic appearance with minimal scar tissue the Clinical benefits include reduced post-operative discomfort, minimal scar tissue formation, enhanced healing and excellent cosmetic results.
NOTE** although the term "laser vaginal rejuvenation" sounds quite catchy, it is strictly a marketing term. There is no advantage to the use of lasers in vaginal surgery in general. In fact, many who advertise the term "Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation" have never used the laser doing a labiaplasty or vaginoplasty.
We offer our patients highly specialized surgery to restore and enhance a women’s vaginal and vulvar area. This type of surgery has been called by the media as “vaginal rejuvenation” or a “vaginal face lift”
We use newly developed techniques to tighten the vagina and restore its youthful appearance and enhance sexual gratification.
Dr. Ghozland has undergone prolonged training in this newly evolving field of cosmetic vaginal surgery. He has recently written a Compendium article on Cosmetic vaginal surgery for the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

change in the normal physiology often leads to increased laxicity and an unsatisfying feeling during intercourse that can also be felt by their male partners.
These vaginal surgical procedures are aimed to increase and tighten the pelvic muscles and vaginal tissues, thereby increasing friction during intercourse and
increasing sexual gratification for both partners.

Vaginal Rejuvenation / Vaginoplasty
This type of surgery removes excess vaginal skin in order to narrow the diameter of the vagina thereby resulting in a smaller and tighter vaginal opening (intoitus).
This type of procedure is typically done in an outpatient surgical center under general anesthesia or regional anesthesia. This procedure has gained popularity for its “Enhancement of Sexual Gratification”

Labiaplasty Minora ( Labial Reduction )
Excess labial tissue or uneven labias can pose multiple challenges to a woman. They can be aesthetically embarrassing to women and may interfere in their sexual life. They may cause pain during intercourse upon insertion as the excess labial tissue leads to rubbing and chronic irritation. They may protrude from bikini bottoms or underwear and may make wearing swimsuits uncomfortable. Women who play sports are often bothered by the friction of their labia against tight clothing.
Labiaplasty is a procedure to remove the excess or floppy and sometimes uneven labia minora (the vaginal lips). The procedure is performed in an outpatient surgical center or in the office. The patient is put under local anesthesia and is completely pain-free during the procedure. The actual labiaplasty procedure time is relatively short: approximately 60 – 90 minutes with very little down time. Dr. Ghozland uses the Ellman Surgitron to ensure extremely precise incisions in order to get the most cosmetic appearance. The Surgitron is less destructive and more precise than the lasers that are often advertised.
Dr. Ghozland has been performing labiaplasty procedures for several years and has consistently been amazed at the difference this procedure brings in a woman’s quality of life and self empowerment. Top
Hymenoplasty
This procedure reconstructs the hymen. The hymen often plays an extremely important role in certain cultures, religions or simply for social reasons. The aim of this procedure is to make the patient appear virginal and allow some bleeding to occur upon vaginal penetration.
This procedure is most successful in patients who have not had prior vaginal deliveries. This procedure typically takes 30 minutes and may be performed as an office procedure or in an outpatient surgical center. Top
Perineoplasty / Perineorrhaphy
The perineum is the area that is between the floor of the vagina and the rectum. In many women this area has been traumatized through natural vaginal deliveries and/or episiotomies. Oftentimes the healing process and repair of these tears leads to uneven and deformed scarring of the perineum. This procedure is usually performed during a vaginoplasty but may also be performed by itself. A perineoplasty helps to repair and restore the normal appearance of the area between the floor of the vagina and the rectum.
The procedure alone takes approximately 30 – 45 minutes and can be done in the office in a pain-free environment. Top
Mesotherapy
Dr. Michael Pistor was the founding father of Mesotherapy. The medication is injected directly into the skin at the problem area(s).
Mesotherapy uses homeopathic medications, traditional pahrmaceuticals, vitamins, minerals and amino acids into the skin to treat a variety of conditions. All medications are selected for
the specific conditions being treated. The needles used in Mesotherapy are very short and thin. These needles only deliver the medication to the dermis of the skin.
Micro-injections are relatively painless, and the potential side
effects are limited to:
- Burning that can last 15-20 minutes
- Minor swelling that can last 1-5 days (this can vary with some patients)
- Minor soreness that can last several days
- Minor skin discoloration, which resolves on its own, or can be treated with chemical peels to remove it quickly
- A slight risk of infection (which may occur wherever an injection is administered) Top
